The $9.2 Trillion Bomb Exploding in 2025 and How to Position Yourself for Benefit

They just stole $294,000 from your future. While you were building your career and trying to forge your own path, Baby Boomers voted themselves benefits and stuck you with the bill. This isn't some distant policy problem—your mortgage payment just went up $500 a month because of their fiscal incompetence, and it's about to get much worse.

Here's the mathematical reality they don't want you to see: we're facing the largest intergenerational wealth transfer in human history, and you're the one getting robbed.

Yo, we need to talk about America's debt crisis. Now, two weeks ago, I wrote a blog post talking about how our financial security for the future and our generation, being 20 to 30-year-olds, are going to get financially fucked by the older generations because they spent the money and now it's our problem. But what we really need to understand is what is actually stealing your future. What are the numbers behind why the debt crisis affects us today financially?

So, you know that $292,000 lifetime tax burden I mentioned last time? It's actually worse. It's $2,000 worse, and that’s just the change in the previous 2 weeks. But that's to keep the debt crisis from exploding. But here's the thing that pisses me off the most. Politicians and everyone else are promising us these magical things of change, making America a cornerstone again. And they're promising this through magical tariff solutions that are getting shot down and being stated as illegal, the way that he implied them in trillion-dollar foreign investments that don't even exist. Whereas your mortgage payment just went up another $500 a month because of the incompetence of what they're actually trying to execute.

Now, how does the $500 a month mortgage correlate to their incompetence? Well, when we're not paying down debt, it makes the interest rates stagnant or increase. They're not coming down. Now, we're expecting them to come down in September, but we've had hikes over the last two years, and we've also had stagnation over the last year. Jerome Powell has landed us, in my opinion, successfully outside of a detrimental recession.

None of The Above is a movement. Moving against the norm. Against the cookie-cutter ideologies. Towards your ideal lifestyle.

The $9.2 Trillion Refinancing Bomb Explodes This Year

Now, let me break down the math that they don't want you to see. Here's what's actually happening right now. $9.2 trillion in our US debt expires this year. That means all of that debt needs to be refinanced within 12 months. So a third of our debt within the next 12 months has to either be bought or refinanced. If we're refinancing that debt off of T-bills, which are currently extremely high relative to where they have been in the last few years, our ability to pay down the service of that debt, or to service that debt, increases.

We're already spending 19.3% of all tax revenue just to service that debt. That's before we refinance at the current rates today. That's why the administration has been pushing Jerome Powell to drop rates so harshly because they know if we have to refinance this fucking money, the rates are higher, we're going to be spending more than 19.3% of our tax revenue on interest payments.

Now, think about this like your personal finances. If you had to refinance your entire mortgage every single year and the interest rates doubled since you first got the loan, you'd be fucked. That's America right now. But with $36 trillion, instead of your house payment.

"Think about this like your personal finances. If you had to refinance your entire mortgage every single year and interest rates doubled since you first got the loan, you'd be fucked. That's America right now."

Why Every Historical Precedent Should Terrify You

But wait, it gets worse when you look at the historical precedents of today compared to the history of the United States. Now, everyone says that "China owns our debt," or "We owe it to ourselves, so it's fine." Both are actually bullshit. Let me tell you what actually happened to countries in our situation.

Japan. They handled 234% debt-to-GDP because 88% was owned domestically, but they had 30 years of 1% growth—their "lost decades."

Greece hit 158% debt-to-GDP ratio with 76% foreign ownership. Result: Their economy collapsed, 25% unemployment, and they needed €320 billion in bailouts from the EU.

Next, let's look at the UK after World War II. They went from 240% debt-to-GDP ratio to 62% in 25 years. How? They forced their banks to buy government debt at below-market rates for 24 straight years. That's financial repression. That's kind of what's happening right now, but the banks are buying the United States bonds at the current market rate, and they're still getting screwed. But you know what we always do? In 2008, we bailed those fuckers out.

Here's the problem. We have Japan's debt levels, a 234% debt-to-GDP ratio. Greece's foreign ownership problem, where 76% of the debt is foreign-owned, and none of the UK's postwar unity to force the solution. We're not all coming together and saying, "Hey, Banks, you got to take this fucking money for 24 straight years, and lose money." We don't have that unity in the United States.

The Social Security Ponzi Scheme Collapse

So let me tell you how this hits your wallet directly. The Social Security bomb. Social Security is not some future problem. It's a $22.6 trillion bomb that is going off in the next decade. Here's the math. 11,200 Americans turn 65 every day through 2027. The program has been cash flow negative since 2010, meaning we have not made money on Social Security payments since 2010. Not that we should be making money on it, but people are not only living longer, but they're also pulling out of Social Security for a longer period of time.

My solution for Social Security: index the fucking Social Security. It's a percentage of the population. If it increases, that means a percentage of the population is living longer. Therefore, a percentage of the population is not going to have access to Social Security until they get a little bit older because they're living longer. The program was built on living to 72—65 to 72. The median age today in the United States is 78.4 years. That's six more years that the US has to assume people are living, but we are not pushing back the retirement age.

Trust Fund will be empty by 2033 to 2035 when it hits. That's an automatic 21% benefit cut or a 27% payroll tax increase. Here's the kicker: Those Trust Fund bonds are IOUs to us. When baby boomers cash them in, the Treasury has to borrow more money to pay them back. It's debt on debt on debt, all hitting during our refinancing crisis over the next 12 months. This isn't a future problem. It's happening now.

"This is the largest wealth transfer in history from young productive people to old voting people. You can either be a victim or position yourself to benefit from the inevitable adjustment."

How None of The Above-Minded Thinkers Can Fight Back

So what do you do about this? Because complaining is not going to save our future. Look, we can't fix Washington, but you can protect yourself and benefit from understanding the concept of who owns our debt better than 99% of people.

We're the generation that refuses to accept limited life choices. While everyone else stays trapped in conventional thinking, here's your 3-step survival strategy:

Step 1: Career Positioning for the Debt Crisis

We want to position ourselves in our careers to build location-independent income streams. When the financial crisis hits, you want to be able to work from anywhere. Focus on export-oriented services—dollar devaluation is mathematically inevitable, and benefit from this. You want to avoid capital-intensive businesses that need cheap debt financing.

Step 2: Asset Strategy That Wins During Collapse

If you want to lock in your asset strategy with fixed-rate debt now, while it's still possible. We want to get low rates now. That's why in 2020, when I was living with my friends right in the height of COVID and interest rates were the lowest I've ever seen, lowest that anybody has ever seen, really, I was like, "Holy shit, I have to capitalize on this 2% interest rate on buying a house. It's literally free money." I was unable to do that. Now we're looking at 6-7%, which, relative to history, is still a pretty fucking good number, but it's higher relative to what's been happening in the increase of the cost of living.

You want to have real assets over financial assets—property, commodities. Those are going to outperform if we get into an economic crisis, which I think that we've avoided, but it's possible with the refinancing of our debt. We want to have international diversification, which will reduce our exposure to domestic policy stupidity.

Now, America is still the cornerstone of innovation and growth, but that does not mean you cannot have 25% or so of your portfolio in international investments. When you look at the United States stock market, you're typically paying a 28% P/E ratio on your stocks. When you look at Europe, you're paying about 18% P/E ratio. So you can get over there into some good investments that have upside.

Step 3: Local Action That Actually Matters

Our local action: municipal debt transparency. We need to see what our city is spending. We need to look at zoning reforms to increase housing supply, which will reduce housing costs through supply, not through subsidies. We need to have infrastructure privatization to get liabilities off of the government's books to build infrastructure.

Join the Generation That Sees Through the Lies

We're building a community of people who refuse to be victims of this intergenerational theft. People who see the math, understand the system, and position themselves to win anyway.

"Math doesn't care about your political team. Math is tried and true, regardless of your opinion."

Here's the bottom line. The debt ownership structure reveals how the government does not have the people's best interests at heart. They literally just went and the president was quoted as breaking the law to enforce tariffs. He's saying, "At least we're bringing things back to the United States. At least we're making the United States better in the process. We're not starting any wars or throwing any bombs, we're just putting tariffs on."

If you look at what our founding fathers stated, they stated that the checkbook is the access directly into the American people. If you're spending money from the American people's pockets, that has a direct impact on the American people, regardless of if it's a war, bombing, or whatever it is. We're forcing the United States taxpayer to pay 15% or more per year on top of their expenses just because of these tariffs. And we're saying that it's giving prosperity to the United States of America.

The Ponzi reality is that they're running a scheme with our future as collateral. They're pulling this debt out to make it our problem after they're gone. The false choice is that magical tariff solutions are the solution, versus a mathematical reality that we need to go after this today. This goes beyond partisan. This is math, not politics. Math doesn't care about your team. Math is tried and true, regardless of your opinion.

Your Two Options

Option A: Keep believing in these fucking fairy tales that are being sold in the internet and everything. Keep reading things about how the policies are going to help support the backbone of the American economy by bringing jobs back to the United States. Go ahead, keep thinking option A. Keep believing the fairy tales.

Or Option B. You could fucking educate yourself and adapt to the mathematical reality that we need to understand. We need to understand this as a generation. This is going to be our problem, so you need to understand how to vote also with your wallet, because what's really happening is it's not going well.

The question isn't whether America faces debt reckoning. It's whether we will be positioned to thrive during the adjustment or get crushed.

Share this with three people you think would benefit from understanding this. Share it with anyone who thinks the system still works. Make them understand what's being done to us.

This is the kind of mathematical reality I break down every week for thousands of alternative path-seekers who refuse to be victims. Subscribe to None of the Above to stay ahead of the collapse.
